The writer conducts a study on professional editors by filming their work while they are engaged.
How does professional editing differ from how students revise their own work?
Professional editing differs from student’s edition through the following ways:
· Professional editors perform their work based from a text by another person. That is from something already written by his/her client or another author.
· Professional editors are assigned limitations by their client. In that, the client will set mandated rules governing the extent to which the professional editor is allowed to change or revise the text.
· Social and Physical environment also differ.
